The DiscoveryGO Products consist of 18 different network brands including Discovery, TLC, OWN, HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, ID Network, and more. Each brand had its own applications, audience, and advertising. Our vision was to create a singular “aggregate” application that allowed fans of each network to ultimately explore content from all of our networks. The goal was to create a singular product framework that would allow customization for each brand network while providing a gateway through discovery and exploration to engage with content across all 18 brands.

The DiscoveryGO products included a robust visual browse and search feature that created new opportunities for content discovery and engagement. We launched the new suite of products to an audience of 150Million customers across 10 platforms including Smart TVs, Web, Mobile Web, iOS & Android Mobile, FireTV, AppleTV and Roku. The successful launch increased discovery and engagement across the platforms by 30% to create new advertising revenue and opportunities.

The DiscoveryGO Products were designed to appeal to fans of our linear channels while providing additional platforms and opportunities to watch all of their favorite shows - anytime, and anywhere on the go. We performed deep and ongoing user research to understand the behaviors, patterns and features that our customers found most valuable and useful.

This marked the first major update for the DiscoveryGO products in over five years, and delivered a modern, simple and familiar design that worked across mobile, desktop, and connected TVs. We launched across 10 platforms for each brand over, and migrated existing customers while gaining new customers and subscribers across 80 Million households in the United States.
